What was Done?

The client is transforming their workplace culture into one that is change resilient. To help with this change, a change champion network, was developed. The change champions are influential/informal leaders within the company that will help to drive change resiliency forward through various activities and training. 

What were the Benefits?

The change champion network members were provided with an overview of Harbinger’s Foresight © change management methodology which empowers them to lead the change by learning new behaviours and understanding the impacts of change on individuals. The workbook was a supplementary piece that helped to increase engagement and understanding of change management.  Additionally, this provides them with the skillset and foundation required to embed change resiliency on their own, without the support of Harbinger for the long-term. 

Leveraging Workshops, Workbooks and Town Halls in Change Management Training 

A Quick Reference Guide (QRG) is an easily accessible and customizable document that guides users through content in a simplified manner.

 

The information is particular to applications, software and other system processes as it outlines the steps users should follow to complete a task or navigate through an interface. QRGs are designed to support effective reference and learning by proving independent user support while helping improve retention as learners search for their own solutions within the material.

What was Done?

A workbook with various exercises and assessments was developed for the change champion network at Medicago. The change champions were tasked with completing the workbook which provided them with an understanding of the change management process, how to identify and manage resistance to change, and details on their personal change appetite amongst others. Upon completion, the change champions were tasked to share and discuss their results during one of their workshops.

What were the Benefits?

The change champions were able to develop their own change management plans with the foundation of understanding how to manage change within their business. The discussion during the workshop with their colleagues also encouraged collaboration and they were able to use the workbook as a guide for discussions on change management with their teams.

What was Done?

RSA was undergoing a workplace transformation from a traditional work environment into one that was agile. The workspace was changed into an open environment with no offices, and new collaboration spaces and hot desking. Employees were also encouraged to work from home. This document was used as a training document to show employees how to use the new desk booking system, OnBoard. They were shown this during a town hall, and the training guide was also available on their intranet.

What were the Benefits?

The visual guide provided employees with clear step by step instructions on how to use the desk booking system. Including definitions of the jargon increased understanding of how to use the tool. Finally, having several touchpoints through the town halls, via change champions and on the intranet ensured that employees were aware and informed of this new process.
